Shop on the Beach is the UK's original SurfTech demo centre
Try out a SurfTech here for FREE!
At the Shop on the Beach, we're obsessed with Surftech boards. Surftech technology is almost certainly the future of surfboard production. Yes, they cost
a bit more, but the payback is worth it – because of the boards' incredible durability, the lifespan of a Surftech is way, way longer than that of a
custom board, which is great for resale value. It's no surprise that most of the world's top shapers are signed up to Surftech – they know that this
technology is the way forward.
If you're still not convinced, get down to Watergate Bay and try one of our demo boards. It will change the way you think about board construction
for ever. We've got a great range of boards to try out for free – yes, absolutely free – all you need do is give us a call, tell us when you'll be
here, and we'll have your chosen board ready for you to ride.
BUY YOUR SURFTECH HERE AND HAVE IT DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME!
If you can't get to Watergate Bay but you already know which board you're after, no problem – we can get it shipped out to you. Just give us a
call to discuss availability, colourways and delivery costs – we're always here to help!

Xanadu Matt Rockhold

These boards have a flatter entry rocker with a rounder outline, "wider nose, wider tail" to make up for the shorter length of the board. Designed to be ridden 6" shorter than your performance shortboard. They also have a flatter deck which makes the rails fuller for more buoyancy for a better performance in smaller, flatter waves. This is a MAGIC BOARD, you owe it to yourself to give it a go ... it will make you taller, thinner, better looking and rich ... only kidding - but it will be more fun than any other board you'll ever ride.

Soul Fish

The Soul Fish is shaped by legendary shaper Randy French. Recommended for gutless waves or paddlers that haven't been in the water for a while - the super flat entry and exit rocker insures speed through even the flattest sections. The full, forgiving rail maximises flotation allowing for smooth turns without losing speed. The Soul Fish is an excellent choice if you're used to a longboard but fancy a change. Easy to surf, easy to catch waves and gives a beautiful natural feel in the water – the Soul Fish is one of our best sellers.

Robert August "What I Ride"

It makes sense to ride a board that maximises your fun regardless of the conditions. "What I Ride" utilizes a 60/40 rail configuration which, in combination with a nifty tear drop concave conveniently placed under the 18" wide nose, greatly enhances your style of nose riding. These are very popular for us, often as a first ‘proper longboard' for the beginner to intermediate surfer. This is a ‘do anything, go anywhere' board, stable and predictable in the turn and the ideal stick for learning to nose ride. The 8'04" is easy to handle for the smaller surfer and for the bigger guys the 10' has all the float you need but is still easy turning for smooth rail to rail transitions.
The 9'0" and 9'6" versions of the Robert August What I Ride boards are available for demo – call us to arrange a surf on these boards.

Robert August "Wingnut Noserider"

Proven design concepts from the classic nose riding models of the 60's blended with current surfboard design and production methodologies results in a one-of-a-kind, classic. The wide nose utilises a flat planning surface underneath, providing the longest, tightest nose rides possible. A modern tail-rocker and the Wingnut's light weight allow this model to rip in any conditions. With a single fin and nicely foiled rails, this board is made for catching waves effortlessly – it's endlessly popular.

Bear Beau Young Model

This is the exact same model that Beau Young rode to victory in the 2003 World Longboard Championships. With a flatter rocker, this board goes well in anything but it will really start to shine in long, peeling waves. A great board for pointbreaks and slow, grinding beach breaks. If you are looking for a board to push your performance riding on, then this is an ideal candidate, recommended for intermediate to advanced surfers. If you are a shortboarder looking to cross over to the dark side (long side!) then the Beau will surf like a shortboard allowing for late take-offs and lipsmacking moves.

Takyama Slater

When Stephen Slater first began riding for Donald Takyama, they collaborated on a new, more progressive board that would compliment the way Stephen rides. Stephen needed a board that would allow for a full range of surfing, from nose riding to straight up snaps.
The tri-fin, rounded pintail, mid-range overall width, and down turned rails of this board appeal to those who want one board in their quiver that is capable of every manoeuvre and excels in waves of any size.
