The 2.4m version of the Sting is designed as a power kite only - it is a little too small for traction kiting, although this is possible in very windy conditions and with a smaller and lighter flier (but upgraded lines would be essential) - this kite is ideal for those learning the necessary skills while working their way up to traction kiting.
Re-launching is a simple operation with the Sting 2 - with a fast one handle movement, the kite flips back to upright position and can be launched smoothly and quickly. And it's safe in high wind conditions - tested by Flexifoil in winds of over 50mph, the Sting stayed under control (flown by an experienced kite flier and with upgraded lines - we recommend beginners fly in much lower wind speeds).
