The FCS Fatboy fin is designed for nose riding and holding the tail in the water whilst turning. The foil is thick at the base, thin in the middle and thick at the tip creating a bulb. The pressure of the water flowing over the bulb holds the fin firmer in the water than it would with a conventional fin.
The Fatboy fin is made from Performance Glas (PG) which is a material the replicates the characteristics of traditional glassed-on fibreglass fins. The thicker areas are stiffer but where the material thins it gives flex and response to turns.
