The Salomon Fast Wing III men's jacket is so light it's close to weightless. It's so packable, it disappears into its tiny stuff sack, which fits into a pocket or can be fixed to your wrist with an elasticated strap. It's then ready for when the wind picks up or the temperature takes a sudden dip when you're out on the road or the trail, giving you windproof protection when the elements are trying to persuade you to head for home.
Clever little details are plentiful in this jacket. There are integrated thumb loops so the sleeves stay put, plus a handy aperture so that you can easily access your watch if time is of the essence on your run. At the neck is a useful press stud fastening so that if you want to unzip the jacket for a little ventilation, the fabric won't slipp annoyingly off your shoulders.
This version comes in black with an incredible zip that fluidly moves from orange to yellow through its length - very funky.
